Established in 1975, Punjab is the largest manufacturer of Oxalic Acid in India, the plant is situtated in Chandigargh, producing some 40,000 tonnes. Oxalic Acid is produced in a number of grades, and particle sizes, to suit various end use industries. Punjab are a major producer of Diethyl Oxalate, both industrial and pharmaceutical grades are manufactured on dedicated esterification plant, the product is available in 200 litre drums and 20,000 litre ISO tanks.
Of the Oxalate salts available, Ferric Ammonium Oxalate is used in Aluminium anodising baths, and Potassium Tetroxalate is used for polishing marble and removing rust stains during the polishing operation.
