APPLICATIONS :
RESANON are low cost auxilary resins of considerable interest
to the formulators of flexographic inks and paper coatings imparting excellent
resistance to soaps, greases, oils and other food products.
RESANON are used in the formulation of nitrocellulose finishes.
The low viscosity allows for increased solids helping the formulator to obtain
higher build films with good mechanical properties, mar resistance, flexibility
and high gloss.
RESANON are highly resistant to saponification and show good
resistance to acids. The addition of
RESANON to paint based
on chlorinated rubbers, improves adhesion, reduces porosity and improves the
gloss.
RESANON are neutral and hence offer great advantages over hard
maleic resins used in the manufacture of metallic pigment preparations.
RESANON
have no acid value which allows for optimised additions of metallic pigments,
which retain their brilliance even after prolonged storage.
